S-V Agreement
By Tee

Clip to ScrapBook
I just finished teaching s-v agreement. Here are a few activities:
1) s-v agreement concentration (Make up a list of subject cards and verb cards and let each student match them accordingly)
2) Grammar war (I gave
examples of subjects and verbs that did not agree and allowed my students to make sounds of war. It was their duty to make peace by making the subjects and verbs agree. We all enjoyed this activity)

Also, I wrote formulas: Singular Subjects + Singular verbs = Peace; Plural Subjects + Plural Verbs = Peace; SS + PV = War; PS + SV = War

This may help, too: If the subject is singular

the verb has to end in (s) for singular - example: she find(s) If the subject is plural the verb doesn't end in (s) because (s) stands for singular - example: they find

I hope this helps
