1. I have the kids fill out a chart. On the chart there is a space for the word, a guess at the definiton and the actual meaning. The kids write the sentence the word is in, take a guess at its menaing then they look it up and compare teh meanings. Its good for context clues. 2. I have the kids do flashcard concentration. There are words and definitons and they have to match them up. This is a review before a vocab quiz. The kids make their own flashcards.
