I think you are incredibly fortunate to have Investigations as part of your curriculum. Our staff just voted it out - which I was disappointed to see, but I am still going to use parts of it as a supplement pieces! It has been amazing to see how my students have developed strategies, increased confidence in completing math problems, and moved to a higher thinking. I know some teachers were disappointed with the vocabulary aspect, because it didn't quite "drill" it. However, it does get covered with the teacher introducing it and using the terms throughout the units. Good luck - I'm envious!
