There are days with my 4th grade class when I feel I need to do a shut down. I told all of my teaching friends about the post in Jan with the classroom shut down. So many say that is what we need until our students know that they need to come to school to learn and not to have a field day every day in the classroom and in the school. Unfortunately we have no support for this option and we are required to teach despite the disruptions from those students who have a different agenda for their school attedance requirements.
