Guided Reading
By Mary M

Clip to ScrapBook
It is my understanding that guided reading and Lit circles are NOT the same. Lit circles are made by children selecting a book of their own choice and reading it together. Guided reading is working with a small group of students who need to same strategy or skill. Unfortunately, there are alot of definitions of guided reading out there and it can be confusing. IF you want to find out more, read The ARt of Teaching Reading by Lucy Calkins - it will explain it in detail.
