introductions and conclusions

I am in the same boat with 5th graders. No matter how much I drill it and teach it, some of their intro's and conclusiuons still sound like this:
"Here are some things I will tell you about in this essay"
"These are some examples of why the main character is nice"
"All in all that is my essay"
"In conclusion, that is the end"
"Those are my reasons"

I am going nuts. Can anyone help?
