Clip to ScrapBook
I went to a local grocery store and asked them to donate the white styrofom plates that they put the ground meat on. Then I brought in different colored playdough (you can also make it ahead of time and add food coloring)& moss(trees/rain forest) I glued a small map of the US onto the plate that had terrains on it. I then had the kids sculpt the different terrains of the USA on top of the map using differnt colored playdough and moss. The playdough dries flat to the plates & you can glue the moss on. Then we made color coded key maps that we glued on the bottom of the plates to represent the different terrains. Hope this is what you were wanting.
