Read Alouds By Elaine

Chris,

A big time winner and all time favorite with my students for several years running is HOLES by Louis Sachar. I've never read any book aloud that consistantly produces rave reviews from my students. I also read Sachar's Wayside School books just for the sheer fun of it.

I am reading RUNNING OUT OF TIME by Margaret Haddix aloud to my 5th graders right now. My students are loving it (and they have not been easy to please with read alouds).

Hope this helps. If I were you and wanted to finish the year with a real read aloud bang, I'd read HOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have I convinced you????
