numbered heads together
By JJ

Clip to ScrapBook
Each child is in a small group, about 4 students. Each member of the group is assigned a number 1-4. You pose a question to the class. Each group comes to a consensus of the answer and then you call out a number and each person in the room that is that number stands up. You then call on one of them to answer the question. If it's a question with a variety of answers have more than one person answer. This strategy emphasizes group decision making and individual accountability for knowing the material. Good luck
