book too hard
By Mary M

Clip to ScrapBook
Just use the SS book as a resource - vocabulary etc. and bring in other resources for the lower level kids such as trade books on the same subject, videos, charts, graphs, diagrams on their level. I have found that when it is too hard, they give up and won't try. Do you give them a study guide for each chapter? Just a thought. We have been informed that kids need the WHOLE picture of how history affects us, not just memorizing dates. Keep us posted on what works for you. You are not alone out there.
