Go for it!

I have been teaching 5th grade for 3 years and I absolutely love it! I wouldn't give it up for any other grade level. As you have probably experienced, students can be "trying" at all grade levels. I would find behaviors that are not so appealing at the primary levels and middle school levels that I wouldn't find in my classroom, just the same. As one of the teachers mentioned earlier, the students seem to be finding themselves during this year and want to talk about things and reach out to me, which I find very gratifying. Aside from the students being wonderful, I thoroughly enjoy the curriculum as well. Good luck to you!
