We also use a book called fair shares. This begins with an investigation on sharing brownies. Then it advances to creating cookies (from pattern blocks) to share. It is very manipulative based. Our county purchased a book for every 3rd grade team. Also, I use the Hershey's fraction book. It is very inexpensive (about $6), and works wonders with introducing fractions with the use of Hershey bars, which is a great manipulative and entices the tastebuds.
