Depending on you objective this might not work. However, I use madlibs to teach my kiddos the parts of speech. After doing several pre-made ones together, I then assign for them to write their own. Making sure that they leave out a varity of parts of speech. They then, partner up and share with a friend.
My class really enjoyed this activity. The only problem was that we ran out of time and couldn't share everyone's. I think that there is also a website that you can use to create new ones on the computer. (I haven't used it in a while and have forgotten the address...but a search engine should be able to find it for you.)

We have also done part of speech collages. Using either poster board or butcher paper I write the part of speech in the middle. The students then search magazines for pictures of the parts of speech. Pictures work well with nouns and verbs. But you might have to search for examples of words when doing adverbs, adjectives, etc.
