strategies

I have read both books and found Strategies much easier to understand and put into use. I love the techniques that are taught in the book. After Xmas, I am going to find picture books to teach of the different strategies and work on those in class before the "SAT" (the dreaded word). We still need to teach skills, but strategies (I feel) are essential to comprehension- which our children don't do very well. Keep me posted on how it is working for you. Please add your thoughts and any other suggestions for professional reading materials along these same lines.
