Hi Mr. C,
You'll love the little ones! Bring some read alouds-anything primary by Rosemary Wells, Eric Carle, Kevin Henkes, Ezra Jack Keats...Go to the public library and pick up some fingerplay books. I charted mine on large paper and asked the kids to help decide what actions to do on the various lines of the poem. M & M math is great fun, if you want ideas for that and are willing to provide the treats, post again or email. For writing, you might do an interactive writing with them. They could contribute high frequency words and letters to a note you help them write to their teacher about missing him/her and what they're doing in her/his absence. Hope this helps. ;-D
