Teaching
By MJH

Clip to ScrapBook
I decided when I was in third grade that I would become a teacher. My younger twin brothers were in kindergarten and having difficulties so I was able to go to their class to help them out. Not only did I work with my brothers
but several other students who were also having difficulties. After a few weeks of working the the group I noticed a change in them, they seemed to have a sparkle in their eyes because they were learning and I enjoyed the feeling I got from watching them each time I worked with them. I have not found anything else on this earth that gives that same feeling of watching a child when
he/she learns how to do something new.

I've been teaching for 11 years now, 9 of which are teaching kindergarten and will only teach in intercity schools where I feel I'm most needed. I attended a state university for 5 year, I have my BS in Elementary and an endorsement to teach kindergarten. I've taught in Lousiana and now I'm in Tennessee and would never consider changing my career.
