'd' and 'b' mix up
By Mary

Clip to ScrapBook
I have tried the suggested activities and they do seem to work well. Another idea that has helped some of my students is to use scraps of laminating film or transparency film cut into squares about 4x4 -- 2 for letter "B" and 2 for letter "D". Use a black permanent marker and write a capital "B" on one square. Lay another square on top, tape squares together, and "trace" a little "b" over the capital "B". They can see that the little "b" fits inside of the capital "B". Do the same for the letter "D" and they will see that the little "d" is outside of the captial "D". I hope this isn't too confusing.
