Hi, Traci.

Thanks for the information about taking a poll. This is a great idea. I'm a novice at using message boards and know little of the standard of etiquette one must use when posting. So I hope the lengthy explanation
and why I'm seeking this request is not an etiquette no-no.

The reason for the request is to send a direct mailing to Reading Teachers to introduce a whole-brain reading program that was created by my mother in the late 1970s when she was a Reading Teacher.

For most of her career, Mom had taught in an inner-city school system. An avid researcher (particularly in brain-mind-body

studies)and a definite champion of children, she compiled all her knowledge gained from her educational training with her professional expertise to produce a whole-brain-based beginning reader program.

The program was test-piloted with: 1st grader reading center students, Kindergarteners, then one day Mom walked into an inner-city daycare center and asked the director if she could pilot a project with the preschoolers.

In short, it's been very successful and is easy to learn and simple to teach. Teachers and parents have used it as the primary method of reading instruction or to complement other reading programs.

Mom has since been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimers and we really want to see this back out on the market. We did direct mailings in the early marketing days and because Mom got involved in other educational pursuits, the marketing of our beginning reader program went on the back burner until now.

To check out the program, go to www.icanreadeasy.com. The web site is still in the production stages.

Any advice any readers can give would be most appreciated.
