teaching states to grades1-2

I have found this idea to be fun,simple, and the best yet! I have used it for years and believe me IT WORKS!!! Make a print out of the states in alphabetical order and give to each child. Then to the tune of Turkey in the Straw have them sing 10 states at a time.(Focus on 10 a day) With lots of encouragement in 1 weeks time they will know all 50!
