Being left handed and have two children (and myself) who are ambidextrous, I woud check with your school district Occupational Therapist to get advice on this as issue will arise again. Posibly they can assist in determining or helop[ing you to determine what the chil'd dominat hand is so you do not force them to write with the hand that is not dominat. They may also be developmentally immature and may have other learning needs as well...
