My children last year loved Dinosaurs by far the most popular theme. Shopping is a great one you can set up a shop lots of cooking etc. We also set up a post office and looked at how mail is delivered. Pirates I have done before and is great. The Jungle - we finished off with going on a sarafi. This year we are starting with the Olympics. Great current affairs. There are lots of web sites even on this board type in themes. Good luck.
