the kids loved it

Sonja,
I took many suggestions made on this board over the last month and used them today. The kids had a ball. I did so many of the things Helen mentioned and all were popular. We also measured in lengths of 100--we had just learned the largest dinosaur was 100 feet long so we mapped it out in the long hallway and the kids were really impressed. Another winner was taking their samples of 100 "something" from home and predicting the lightest to heaviest in each group. Then I weighed them. This was a great science activity that I hadn't even planned on--the lightest was 100 feathers and the heaviest 100 pennies. We had such a great time today and I'm sure that you will too.
