freedon quilt
By JO

Clip to ScrapBook
I read Hopkinson's book, "Sweet Clara and the FreedoM QUIlt." Each child made a quilt square as on the book cover of the book. They had to hide a landmark in their quilt square as Aunt Clara did when making her freedom quilt which was a secret map of the underground railroad. The squares were assembled on the wall with an explanation. It turned out quite beautiful!
