marking and feedback
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
I agree, I prefer to do my own marking, but if I'm away like I am this week, then I usually leave instructions on how I normally do my marking just in case the sub wants to do some marking. But I always let them know in
my notes that it is not expected. A lot does depend on how much time they might have with prep time, etc., I prefer they stick with the teaching which is usually enough to figure out for that day.

As far as recording marks, I do not record marks for everything they do. I have certain sheets or assignments I will mark as well as tests and projects, etc., Each teacher will do things

a bit differently.

I think for the younger grades, more immediate feedback is important, but they can survive fine if they have to wait for a few days. I find with grade 1 we do so many new things each week, that they do need the feedback more often.
