Clip to ScrapBook
Run over to your favorite craft or cooking store and look over their selection of candy molds - the plastic sheet ones with several indentations in the shape of bears, stars, etc. Choose the ones you like and buy them along
with a tub of plaster of paris. Now mix up the plaster, and fill the candy mold with plaster. Slide a small paper clip into the wet plaster so that just the curve at the end is exposed. This is your hang ring. They take about 30 minutes to set up, then they just pop out of the mold and you can make another set. I have ones for Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc. that I've used for
years and years. They cost less than $2.00 a sheet and usually include about 8 assorted designs. The plaster is very inexpensive if you buy a big bag. Just remember not to rinse things out. Use a paper cup and plastic spoon and throw them away when you're finished. Even small amounts of plaster down the sink can ruin the pipes. The kids can decorate the ornaments using water based markers, craft paints, poster paint, glitter, even colored pencils or water colors.
