Not that I'm against a rally or march, but.... for something like this to really have merit, I think asking the original poster to give more details than simply email me with your ideas would be a reasonable question to ask.| If you already have 3 people from each state you have more than enough people to get this organized. Now you should be doing all the ground work. Or is this simply a pipe-dream? First if you are planning this march, you must have some type of idea in mind. Location, what you want to accomplish, etc., Marches and rally's are not something you can just simply put together, by the | | time you get a few grass roots teachers in place, decide on a location, etc., you are looking at least a year away perhaps even longer. You have legal issues, permission, advertising, etc., and many, many, many hours of work ahead. And I can't see how you would get a million teachers into one area, cost of travel, accomodations, etc., If you truly want to do this, then post as a real person, with your name, what you do, where you live, what the plans are, etc., Tell us what you already have done other than putting up a few posts on the subject. You sound enthusiastic, but perhaps not really at a point to pull something like this off. And while numbers can change things, etc., it's what is said and done that really counts. You can have a million teachers march, but if it is not organized and doesn't have a message it won't really be effective as you planned. A 100 teachers who are well organized could be just as effective.
