Keeping Track By Krista
|
|
I teach 2/3. I have a large write-on/wipe-off chart that I keep track of who has handed in what. It is a visual reminder for me, as well the kids. It is already set up in columns, so I just need to do a quick checkmark (or half checkmark if it needs to be corrected). Now that they have been in school for eight weeks, they know I am serious and I don't have to be as vigilant. As for nameless papers...it depends upon whether it is something that I am putting in my markbook. If not, then I feel more comfortable with recycling it. If the work has much writing on it, I usually can recognize who it belongs to. I probably am a little too "nice" about it, but I was always the kid who forgot to write my name...
