Clip to ScrapBook
how about sticking a round colored dot on his chair and having him make sure it's always covered (with his bum) and then coming up with some consequences (positive and negative)

as for getting hold of mom--what about a phone call? or e-mail--i have found this particulary helpful for those kids who don't turn in all their work--mom emails me thurs night and i list everything the kid is missing on friday and send it off.

just remember what this kid really needs: love, attention, to feel safe, to feel valued...and on--go out of your way to love him! (i know it can be hard) it seems like the kids that i develope better relationships with respond better to my requests to behave.
