    THIS IS A WAY THAT REALLY WORKS FOR ME....

    I give them a timed test that is like 30 problems and 2-3 minutes to do them in. Then those that made a hundred are in "Math Club" and I give them a cup of soda the next day. But you could give tham any incentive (eat in room with teacher, homework pass, pencil, etc).
    Also, for the flashcards they tkae home, give them 2 baggies...and as they are going over the facts, those that they get right away go in one abg and those that need working on stay in the bag to review each night that week. Once a week, go over the ones they "mastered" go over...if they don't get them them they go back in their baggie with those they need to keep practicing.
