I have done a beach theme party for along time as our end of the year celebration. We have relay races- tacky tourist, coconut sweep, flippers etc. We have bears on the beach (pudding cups with little cocktail umbrellas and a gummy bear for a snack. We play indoor volley ball with a beach ball, and have hula hoop contests. I also bring little swimming pools out and "fill" them with books that go with our theme. When he kids are waiing for an activity they dive into a good book. Hope this helps.
