THe social studies teacher at my school teaches 6-8 grade. Anyway, she showed the movie and the students (they had my class after hers) really got into it. When she tested them on the topic, not the movie, she said that this year's class understood it a lot better than last year's classes.However, because of the rating of the movieshe did send home parental consents prior to the students' watching the movie. If a parent signed no, those students had to do a research paper on the topic in the library while the others watched the movie. It took 3 days to watch the movie in its entirety(sp?) because we have 50 minute classes.
