Do a search for "metric olympics". You will get lots of hits. There will be certificates and paper medal patterns and events such as:drinking straw javelin throw
cotton ball shotput
one-handed sponge squeeze
one-handed marble grab I did this with fifth grade and metric measurements, but it could be adapted to first grade and standard measurements. John
