job sharing
By jaqui

Clip to ScrapBook
As a teacher with a special ed teacher in my class who job shared this year, I can tell you from my and other teachers who cotaught with this arrangement that it did not work in the benefit of children or other staff-you simply cannot compartmentalize the needs of children, communication with a variety of staff and parents and be 100% effective in any of those arenas. I am sorry to say that, but have lived it and done 150% of the load as a result of this arrangement. I am clearly for women's rights, but in teaching, it is the childrne's needs that are to be met first. Ob sharing would be a priviledge, not a right.
