Hi Michele,
We have intramurals during the last 15 minutes of 4-6 grade recess. Some of the games we play are kick ball, soccer, football, basketball, capture the ball, etc. There is a schedule posted and the classrooms are set up in teams. The first semester this year, my class loved being a part of this, but they'd rather not be playing the sports that are featured now. So they're essentially 'doing their own thing' which has been a great classroom community builder. We'll see what the spring brings. I should also mention that our PE teachers introduce all the games during classtime and we have playground monitors rather than teachers out for duties. Best of luck. ;-D
