I saw a great idea..

another teacher had her 4th graders writing these books. You could create one easily and read it to your class.

For example:
I found an egg and it was blue.
I found the egg inside my shoe.

Each page focuses on a different color and hiding place. It all follows the same pattern of
"I found and egg and it was _______.
"I found the egg inside my ___________.

The kids loved this and they really got creative with coming up with rhyming words. Maybe something like this could be created and you could share it with your kids. If you wanted to include something about the inside, maybe you could add an ending to it.
