Clip to ScrapBook
Our school system adopted Saxon a couple of years ago. We also got Silver Burdett for supplementary. I have been using my Saxon less and using the book more. I pull things from Saxon occassion. I'm not putting down Saxon Math at all. There have been others that have used it and had great results. It is very basic and some children will get bored. I did like the fact that it continually reviewed concepts but I did not go strictly by the script--I don't teach that way. Others have liked that. So, just explore all your options before you adopt. I do know that our fourth and fifth grades love using Saxon (but theirs is the book as opposed to our Saxon being worksheets). Good Luck!
