Saxon Math
By Julie

Clip to ScrapBook
I have the materials that another teacher left for me. It is a spiraling curriculum and uses scripted lessons. I don't use it.

However, one of my average students left my class. Her new teacher called me to ask me if she was gifted. She said they use Saxon math and she thought my former student was gifted. She was so far ahead of her class. I said that in my class she was average. We teach in the same school district, same grade.

So, I don't know if it my class was ahead, if Saxon Math made her a genius. The only people I know that like it are the ones that have to turn in detailed lesson plans -- it elimates planning for the teacher.
