4 Blocks

Hi! I am a new teacher and I teach 2nd grade. This year is the first year that my whole school, K-6 is implementing the 4 Blocks. I love using this framework. I have not gone to the training, but would like to some day. I don't think that you would need it right away. The resources I use and that would help you greatly are Month by Month Phonics (by grade level), Guiding Reading (the four blocks way), and The Teachers Guide for the Four Blocks (this one explains each block and gives a variety of activities and suggestions). There are also resources for the upper grades and Kindergarten (building blocks) as well. The Four Blocks is a framework for a teacher to work from and has been a great guide for me.
