graphic organizers

As far as graphic organizers for that age, how about a Venn Diagram or a T-chart? That age really loves using the large tag board or bulletin paper and making huge circles and they could use pictures or words to compare. Some good stories would be to compare fairy tales to fractured fairy tales - The Three Little Pigs to Jon Scieszka's version or The Three Little Wolves. There's Cinderella & it's fractured tales - Cinder Ella, Cinderhazel. Sleeping Beauty: Sleepless Uglyor Sleepless Beauty. Have fun!
