calls at home
By Joan

Clip to ScrapBook
As a teacher, I welcome calls to my home. If a parent has any questions or concerns, I encourage them to call me at a time that does not interrupt teaching. I am a parent too, and would hope that my own children's teachers
would be just as welcoming to calls in the evening. Many parents are working and would not be able to have an uninterrupted phone call with you during the work day. I can't imagine that you get so many calls that it has such an impact on your family time. Most calls I receive are completed rather quickly. Remember, it is our job to service the children of our classroom, and I don't
agree that our service should end at 3:00 each day. Be glad that your students' parents have enough care and concern for their children's educations that they are calling in the first place.
