slow student

I have a slow student as well, also really low but did not qualify for spec.ed. He can sit for 4 hours and fill in two answers, not because he is fidgety and disruptive, he just sits there! It is driving me crazy! As far as assessing his work, I pick my battles. Some days he misses free time (usually if he was actually doing something besides just sitting) or he takes it home and does it there, or also I just mark all the blanks as wrong and then let him redo it and average the grades. I know the last one sounds harsh, but I always warn him ahead of time and it will usually get him sort of going.
