Hi! I'm going through a job training course and I've learned to turn your weaknesses into strengths. Say if your weakness is being shy, then you could state that at first you are shy, but as you get to know people you become
less shy but it won't interfer with your work performance. My weakness is always wanting the kids to like me, to think of me as a friend. Focus on your strengths that you think your mentor teacher would say about you.
I had one principal tell me to talk a lot about your student teaching experience. That will help you prove that you have experience. Don't talk so much of philosophy.
The people/person interviewing you want to know how you handled certain situations.
Do think about your philosophy, but see how it can apply to that school district's mission. think about curriculum in the school, technology, and definitely classroom management and parental involvement.
Hope this helps!
