Hi Ingrid,
Do you have an education degree or certification? Maybe that's the hold up. Being an AZ teacher, with Spanish one of the classes offered at the JR and HS levels, I still don't see many positions open for languages. We don't offer Spanish as a class for elementary grades, and the ESL classes have essentially gone ELL (English Language Learners) with 'tutors' helping out these children on campus, not a certified teacher. Why not get your teaching degree, and see about applying to a school with a higher population of ELL students? Best of luck!!! Job hunting is never easy... ;-D
