A few other titles and ideas

These poems are fairly easy to find so I will not type them out, but if you can't find them let me know. You didn't mention grade level so I'm not sure of appropriateness for your students.

Pocahontas by William Makepeace Thackeray
Nancy Hanks by Rosemary and Stephen Vincent Benet
Barbara Frietchie by John Greenleaf Whittier

Another idea would be to use poems by women poets -- Emily Dickenson, Christina Rossetti , Edna St. Vincent Milay, Rachel Field, Eloise Greenfield, Nikki Giovanni etc.
