Clip to ScrapBook
DEar Trish,
This year we had a geologist and an archaeologist visit my third grade class. We made them a card using construction paper to depict their areas- the archaeologist had layers of varying width and wavy pieces
of construction paper with a coupe of paper fossils in between the layers. Inside I rewrote what we had processed after the visti that said:
15 Things we learned from __________'s visit
Both of the visitors loved these cards and the fact that their teacheing had resulted in real learning as demonstrated by the facts listed.
Another idea would be for each child to write a "Did
You Know" fact card( about 1/2 or 1/4 sheet of paper) that had preprinted cloud, liighning etc.. to write a fact that they learned- they could then decorate these and glue them onto a larger card or poster sized thank you- sure to be hung in your presentor's office!
Good luck!
