valentines
By Cathy

Clip to ScrapBook
I give each of my students a white lunch bag. They paste a picture of themselves on the bag and decorate it for Valentine's Day. Then, I hang the bags from the chalk tray in alphabetical order, just the way their Valentine class list is written. If they write them in order, they can then place their cards in the bags quite quickly and easily. They do this the week before Valentine's Day. On the day of the party, each student just has to take their bag to their seat to open cards. No more confusion as students walk around the room passing Valentine's.
My class has about 45 minutes for their party. I would also love some fun activities that can be done in this time period. Thanks, everyone!
