End of School
By Kimberly

Clip to ScrapBook
Don't I wish it was the end of school already! I am having a tough year, but this too will pass. Every year, our whole grade level (2nd) does a "Read-In". The kids bring a small pillow and a towel, a snack, and as many
books as they can carry. We lay around and read. We share our favorites and I read my favorite to them. The kids enjoy this time immensely. Some years, my kids "read-in" all day and other years they can only make it a few hours. It depends on your group.

I have also had my students making class books all year about everything under the sun--my favorite day of the week, new year's

resolutions, if I could be any animal, etc... By the end of the year, I will have 22 books and each kid will get to take one home to remember 2nd grade and all of their friends.
