wax museum
By Julie

Clip to ScrapBook
An idea that might be neat to do with all your rich history is to have the students create a "wax museum". I saw fourth grade students in my nephew's school do this for the biographies that they wrote. They created a little "speech" or history lesson, had a costume that represented their famous figure/or event, and then created a button for people to press when they wanted to hear the speech. Students had to pose and be still until their button was pressed. It turned out really neat.
Another idea I've done with my students, they pretend they are reporters doing a live report from a historical event. This also helps enforce interviewing skills!
Enjoy!
