handwriting

JS, Yes, we all teach handwriting in my school. It is taught in 3rd grade, but they devote only 6 weeks, and do very little extra practice. We use it as morning work (bell work), by having a page ready for the kids, or by having them practice free hand on the proper sized writing paper by copying something from the overhead. We feel it is important.
