Polar Express
By Tara

Clip to ScrapBook
Hey! I am a first year teacher and struggled with this question too. I don't know if anyone has heard of or read the Polar Express, but it is a great Christmas story about keeping the spirit alive as we grow older. Anyway, the kid in the book gets the first Christmas gift of the year from Santa at the north pole and he asks for a silver bell off of Santa's sleigh. I am going to read this book to kick off our Christmas around the world week, and then return to it at the end of our last day and give each child a silver bell that they can keep forever so that they keep the spirit alive in them. I have fourth and fifth graders, but I think all ages would love this story. Peace and Love!
